Thank you for your interest in Volunteer Services at Twin Cities Hospital! Our volunteers are such an important part of our organization and for over 65 years have helped to promote and maintain our high level of customer satisfaction.
The Hospital Gift Shop, which is the Auxiliary's main source of revenue, helps to fund several annual scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing health care degrees and also to medical professionals that are enrolled in advanced degree programs. The scholarship applications can be found here.
The Auxiliary also contributes to several local charities annually with fund raising efforts that include bake sales, raffles, rummage sales and game days.
While our volunteer program is for community members 18 years and older, we do offer a Volunteen Program designed for our 16 - 18 crowd. We are excited to offer opportunities for students to volunteer with us and be able to see what the inner workings of a hospital are really like. Many of our Vounteens go on to pursue a career in the medical field. Parental consent is required.
Prior to your start as a volunteer, we require that you pass a background check and following that a drug screening will be scheduled; immunization records and Tuberculosis screening are also a prerequisite. We want our volunteers to receive the same background information as our staff members, so we include them in our full day hospital orientation.
Applications are available at the Wellness Center (located behind the hospital).
We have many areas available to volunteer:
